Grants Roundup: Microsoft Gives $25.8 Million for Markle Fund Jobs Program

Here are notable new grant awards compiled by The Chronicle:
Microsoft Philanthropies
$25.8 million to Skillful, a program of the Markle Foundation that helps job seekers develop skills that are in high demand. The Markle Foundation has pulled many nonprofit, business, and academic leaders into a cohort called Rework America to tackle problems economic change poses for American workers.
Taube Philanthropies
$5 million to the Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot in Tel Aviv for renovations.
Terra Foundation for American Art
$2.5 million to 31 organizations developing projects for Art Design Chicago, a yearlong cultural program with multiple exhibitions. Recipients include the Chicago Parks Foundation, the South Side Community Art Center, and the Video Game Art Gallery.
