Podcast: Fine-Tuning Fundraising to Draw Female Donors

June 27, 2016 | Read Time: 1 minute

When it comes to giving, gender matters, and understanding how can have a major impact on a nonprofit’s fundraising success, says Andrea Pactor, associate director of the Women’s Philanthropy Institute at Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

In this episode of Fundraising Fundamentals, Ms. Pactor looks at how female philanthropy differs from giving by men and what nonprofits can do to draw financial support from a growing class of well-to-do women.

“It’s very important for nonprofits to understand that women have increased access to income and wealth,” and to fine-tune their appeals and events to cater to the different motivations women and men bring to giving, she says.
