Tyson Foods Pledges $50 Million to Anti-Hunger Work

Meat conglomerate Tyson Foods announced a $50-million commitment Wednesday to efforts to fight hunger in the U.S., Arkansas News reports. The five-year pledge includes cash and in-kind donations and will focus on innovative initiatives at the local level, the Springdale, Ark.-based company said.
Tyson said the new commitment will build on existing partnerships with hunger-relief groups such as Share Our Strength and Feeding America. Over the past 15 years the firm has donated 100 million pounds of food through its Know Hunger campaign.
