Alumni and Foundation Give $35 Million to Wooster College in Ohio

June 2, 2015

Three alumni of the College of Wooster and a Cincinnati foundation have donated a combined $35 million to the institution, with about two-thirds of the money earmarked for a new life-sciences building, reports The Plain Dealer.

The Wooster, Ohio, college now has commitments covering the full $40 million cost of the planned Ruth Williams Hall of Life Science, construction of which is set to start next year.

A $15 million contribution in October 2013 from Ruth and Morris Williams kicked off fundraising for the project.
