Mr. Rady, 77, and his wife, Evelyn, 74, pledged $120-million to Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego to endow the Rady Pediatric Genomics and Systems Medicine Institute. The couple has been giving to the hospital for 35 years. It was named for the Radys in 2006 when they gave $60-million.
They also pledged $1-million to the University of California at San Diego Rady School of Management for fellowships. The school was named for them in 2004 when they donated $15-million.
