Background: Mr. Jordan co-founded the Jordan Company, a private investment firm, and is chairman of Jordan Industries, a holding company.

Mr. Jordan pledged $75-million to the University of Notre Dame for science and technology research. He graduated from Notre Dame in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
