$25-Million Gift Boosts Holocaust Museum Education Programs

December 5, 2014

The family of Phoenix businessman William Levine is donating $25-million to help the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum expand and diversify its outreach and education efforts, reports the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. The Washington, D.C., museum’s education center will be renamed the Levine Institute for Holocaust Education in recognition of the gift.

Mr. Levine is an investor and property developer and the co-founder of Outdoor Systems, an outdoor-advertising company. He has served since 2007 on the governing council of the Holocaust Museum, which is in the midst of a $540-million fundraising campaign.
