Paris’s Picasso Museum to Reopen in October
September 5, 2014
The Musée Picasso in Paris will reopen on October 25 after a five-year renovation that was marred by delays and an employee rebellion, writes The New York Times.
The museum is newly led by president Laurent Le Bon, who was appointed to the post in June after his predecessor was ousted. Mr. Le Bon now oversees a collection that includes more than 5,000 artworks donated to the museum by Picasso’s family following his death. October 25 would have been the artist’s 133rd birthday.
