Mr. Bloomberg, 71, gave a total of $452-million to arts, education, environment, and public-health nonprofits. He also gave to programs meant to help city governments around the world locate and test new ideas and to make city governance more efficient and creative.
Mr. Bloomberg served three consecutive terms as mayor of New York from 2001 through 2013. He said through a spokeswoman that he expects to spend more time on his philanthropic efforts now that he is out of office.
