Ned Breslin, chief executive of Water for People, is working on a new online platform that he hopes will make it easier for his nonprofit and others to show their progress in real time.
Mr. Breslin says the tool is designed to help both charity staff members and donors see what is happening in all of the group’s projects.
He hopes his effort, called Re-Imagining Reporting, will eventually replace long paper reports that foundations and other donors often require.
