Elizabeth Davidson and Maurya Couvares: Helping Teenagers Get Tech Skills

Charitable activities: Ms. Davidson, a teacher, and Ms. Couvares, a pro bono coordinator at a New York law firm, started Scripted to train people with technology skills to volunteer to teach computer programming to high-school students in Harlem. The students learn how to use JavaScript and other programming languages, participate in apprenticeships, and take field trips to learn more about technology companies.
