Database Indexes Nonprofit Research

December 2, 2012 | Read Time: 1 minute

The merger of two online resources has created a new database of more than 11,000 reports, case studies, and other documents on more than 40 causes that nonprofits tackle, including aging, immigration, and transportation.

The Foundation Center got the materials after it acquired IssueLab, a Web site that provides free access to research on pressing social, economic, and environmental problems and potential solutions. It has since integrated IssueLab into PubHub, the Foundation Center’s catalog of more than 7,000 annotated links to foundation-sponsored reports.

The combined platform, which will continue to use the IssueLab name, also includes all the studies published by Public/Private Ventures, a pioneering research and evaluation group that ceased operations in July.
