AIDS Foundation of Chicago: Appointed David Ernesto Munar, vice president, to be president and chief executive officer. He succeeds Mark Ishaug, who will become president and chief executive officer of AIDSUnited, a newly created organization in Washington resulting from the merger of theNational AIDS Fund and AIDS Action.
American Forests (Washington): Appointed Scott Steen, executive director of the American Ceramics Society (Columbus, Ohio), to be chief executive officer. (See article.)
AmeriCares (Stamford, Conn.): Announced the death of Robert C. Macauley, founder, on December 26. He was 87.
Children, Incorporated (Richmond, Va.): Appointed Marianne Vermeer, a senior fellow at the Acumen Fund (New York), to be president and chief executive officer. She succeeds Marian Cummins, who has retired from this organization that serves needy children all over the world.
Coal River Mountain Watch (Whitesville, W.Va.): Announced the death of its executive director, Julia (Judy) Bonds, on January 3. She was 58.
