Putting a Campaign Logo Up for Supporters’ Votes

When the Skin Cancer Foundation wanted to create an icon to call attention to the disease, it turned for help to a site that allows graphic artists to compete for a chance to work on projects. It selected three designs, then the charity let its supporters vote to pick the winner. The more than 1,200 people who voted online selected a design that features a bright yellow sun and a navy blue ribbon, which the New York organization uses in its promotional materials.
