Merger Planned Between Two Texas Medical Groups

Scott & White Healthcare, a 113-year-old nonprofit medical center in Temple, Tex., plans to merge with Johns Community Hospital, in Taylor, Tex., the Austin American-Statesman reports. The two organizations plan to finalize the merger by September 1, and the new entity will be named Scott & White Hospital – Taylor.
