Maryland Lung Cancer Charity Merges With Chicago Group

Protect Your Lungs, a Potomac, Md., charity focused on supporting lung cancer research, has merged with the LUNGevity Foundation, a similar group in Chicago, according to a news release on LUNGevity Foundation’s Web site. The two groups will now operate under the LUNGevity Foundation name and work out of offices in both Chicago and Washington. Andrea Stern Ferris, the former head of Protect Your Lungs, will become president and chairwoman of the merged group, and Beth Ida Stern, of LUNGevity, will serve as executive director.
