Sharon Stone and her sister hosted a charity “prom” to raise money to provide gowns and tuxedos for poor high-school students, reports The Los Angeles Times.
Donations raised by the party went to the Stone sisters’ charity, Planet Hope, to buy 2,000 prom dresses and shoes and to help needy teenagers buy or rent gowns and tuxedos.
“We truly believe that every young student across the nation deserves a chance to feel like a prince or princess on their prom night, regardless of their financial situation. We are thrilled to help this dream come true for high-school students in need,” Ms. Stone and her sister said in a prepared statement.
