Red Cross Announces 2007 Appeal

On Thursday, the International Committee of the Red Cross announced at its conference in Geneva that it plans to raise $800-million in 2007 to support its worldwide operations, reports BBC News.
Providing aid in Africa remains the organization’s top priority, but the humanitarian organization announced plans to increase support for programs in the Palestinian territories and Iraq.
