November 23, 2006 | Read Time: 1 minute

  • GuideStar, an organization that creates reports on nonprofit groups based on the informational tax returns they file and other data, is providing a free, seven-day trial of one of its key online tools to federal workers who want to make a donation through the government’s annual charity drive. Federal employees, who normally would be charged up to $3,000 a year, can use the Gov@GuideStar service to check out charities, including their financial performance.
