Toys for Tots Reverses Decision on Jesus Dolls

Toys for Tots has decided to accept a company’s donation of 4,000 talking Jesus dolls, reversing its earlier decision to turn down the gift, reports the Associated Press.
A Los Angeles company, one2believe, last week offered to donate the Bible-quoting, battery-powered dolls. Toys for Tots declined the dolls, saying it didn’t want to offend Jewish or Muslim families who might receive the toy.
“The talking Jesus doll issue has been resolved,” the organization said in a statement posted last Wednesday on its Web site. “Toys for Tots has found appropriate places for these items.” The group did not specify where the toys would go.
