Wedding Gowns Stolen From Breast-Cancer Charity

November 7, 2006 | Read Time: 1 minute

A trailer containing approximately $3-million worth of wedding gowns has been stolen from a breast-cancer charity, reports The Associated Press.

Making Memories, an organization in Scottsdale, Ariz., that grants the wishes of terminally ill women, raises money through the sale of donated wedding gowns. On Sunday, the group reported the theft of its 40-foot trailer and pickup truck.

Fran Hansen, a cofounder of Making Memories, said, “They’ve stolen the last wish and dream and hope of someone who is terminally ill.”

A charity wedding gown sale will be held to help recoup the loss. Many donations have come in to support the group.
