Art Foundation Halts Plan to Build Museum

The Dia Art Foundation is no longer planning to build a museum in Manhattan, reports The New York Times.
The museum was to have been built at the entrance to the High Line, a vacated elevated railway line in Manhattan. Dia operates a museum near the Hudson River and is looking to establish a presence in the city. The organization provided no reason for stopping its plans.
Officials at the Whitney Museum of American Art are now considering whether they might want to construct a building on the site, the newspaper said.
