Museums Court Aspiring Lawyers
July 25, 2006
Arts institutions in New York City are increasingly pairing with law firms in an effort to turn the firms’ summer associates into future donors, reports The New York Times.
Nine cultural institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum, and the New York City Ballet recently held a cocktail party for summer associates from six of New York’s top law firms. The arts program is the latest addition to the firms’ efforts to woo young lawyers during the summer program to join their firms after the associates graduate from law school.
