Kansas African American Museum Comes Under Fire
July 13, 2006
The Kansas African American Museum, in Wichita, has come under fire from the city’s arts committee, which has recommended reducing support for the museum after raising questions about its mission and travel budget, reports The Wichita Eagle.
Eric Key, the museum’s executive director, said the travel budget may appear excessive because it covers travel expenses for speakers and performers at museum events as well as for staff members.
