British Charity to Borrow Up to $921-Million

The Wellcome Trust, a British charity, plans to sell a bond of up to $921-million to bolster its support for medical and scientific research, reports Reuters.
The bond issue will be the first by a charitable trust in Europe, according to a banker familiar with the deal.
