Correction: American Civil Liberties Union

Due to an editing error, an item that appeared in Philanthropy Today on Monday incorrectly summarized an article in The New York Times about the American Civil Liberties Union.
The article stated that several board members said they had been told that the charity’s lawyer received a call from a New York State regulator raising concerns about board proposals the organizations was discussing, not that several board members had themselves received such calls.
