$16-Million Donated by Baltimore Couple

Since 1994, Eddie and Sylvia Brown, a Baltimore couple, have donated more than $16-million, making them one of the most-generous African-American couples in the United States, reports The Sun, in Baltimore.

The self-made couple have donated large sums to organizations unaccustomed to major gifts, including $6-million to the Maryland Institute College of Art for a center for digital arts and design, and $5-million to the Baltimore school system for an achievement program for middle-school students.
