Growing Competition Hurts Charities

The increasing number of charities competing to raise money for the same causes has caused problems, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Instead of coordinating their efforts, many medical-research organizations that focus on specific diseases are finding themselves fighting to attract the same donors and spending lots of money on advertising to explain why their group differs from its competitors.
