Fund-Raising Book Explores Role for E-Mail

March 23, 2006 | Read Time: 1 minute

A new book discusses the critical role of e-mail in online fund raising. Written by Madeline Stanionis, president of Donordigital, a consulting company in San Francisco, the book discusses techniques charities can use to build their lists of e-mail addresses.

It also covers how to craft effective e-mail campaigns, integrate e-mail into overall fund-raising plans, and monitor the performance of e-mail appeals for donations.

The book provides examples — and, in some cases, the results — of fund-raising appeals sent by nonprofit organizations, such as Earthjustice, the Humane Society of the United States, NARAL Pro-Choice America, and the Union of Concerned Scientists.

The Mercifully Brief Real World Guide to Raising Thousands (if Not Tens of Thousands) of Dollars With Email costs $24.95, and is published by Emerson & Church Publishers.
