BUSH-CLINTON FUND CRITICIZED

March 2, 2006 | Read Time: 1 minute

Religious leaders say the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund created by former Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton is not distributing money fast enough to groups affected by the hurricane, reports The Washington Post. The fund has designated $20-million for religious organizations along the Gulf Coast, but so far no funds have been distributed. A spokesman for the charity said the presidents want to distribute the money as quickly as possible, but that a decision on which groups will benefit from the $20-million has not been made.
