INTERNATIONAL RED CROSS HELICOPTER MISSING

A Turkmen helicopter chartered by the International Red Cross to deliver earthquake aid in Pakistan has been missing since Sunday, reports the Associated Press. The helicopter lost contact with air control while flying in clear conditions in the vicinity of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, a region known to harbor Taliban and Al Qaeda forces. Seven crew members were aboard the aircraft; no Red Cross staff members or volunteers were on board.
