China’s welfare lottery expects to increase the amount it contributes to charitable causes, reports the China Daily. According to the China Welfare Lottery Issuing Centre, lottery sales are expected to maintain an annual increase of 10 percent over the next five years. Thirty-five percent of ticket sales go to charities to support causes such as the Starlight Project, which cares for the elderly, and the Tomorrow Project, which supports disabled children who are undergoing operations.
