DONOR FATIGUE?

Despite concerns among fund raisers that some donors had given so much to disaster relief last year that they would not also support other causes, early tallies suggest that charities across the spectrum fared well in their 2005 donations, reports The Washington Post. Surveys conducted by the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University found that people donated to aid organizations in addition to, not instead of, their favorite causes, and that total donations to Hurricane Katrina and tsunami relief efforts constituted only 2 percent of overall giving.
