AID WORKER KILLED

January 4, 2006

An Afghan aid worker was killed in a mosque in southern Afghanistan by suspected Taliban terrorists, reports BBC News. The man, who had been working as an engineer for a Bangladeshi aid group, was shot in the head by two men traveling on a motorcycle. Though no group has claimed responsibility for the killing, officials have blamed the Taliban for similar killings in the past.
