Invest Yourself: the Catalogue of Volunteer Opportunities, edited by Susan G. Angus, lists more than 200 organizations offering full-time and part-time volunteer opportunities throughout the world. Listings, most of which are for volunteer positions within the United States, are arranged alphabetically by organization, and are indexed by geographic location and areas of skill and interest. Each entry contains a detailed description of the organization and the volunteer program, as well as skills needed and contact information. This guide, which has been published annually since 1946, also includes a list of organizations that link volunteers with charities that need them, as well as first-person accounts of volunteer experiences in some of the organizations listed.
