Green Corps

Purpose: Co-founded in 1992 by Gina Collins Cummings and Leslie Samuelrich to train young people to become grassroots environmental organizers.

Finances: The group brought in about $450,000 last year, raising half of the money from environmental groups that work with Green Corps members.
