AMERICAN RED CROSS

Liberty Disaster Relief Fund
TOTAL RAISED: $1,072,000,000
TOTAL SPENT: $857,000,000
PURPOSE:

The Liberty Disaster Relief Fund distributed $799-million to provide immediate relief for victims and

their families as well as to help recovery workers and people who were displaced from their homes or jobs or were otherwise economically harmed by the attacks; in addition the fund has earmarked $215-million for long-term mental-health treatment of families directly affected by the September 11 terrorist attacks. The remaining $58-million were spent on administrative costs. The fund continues to accept contributions.


AMERICARES FOUNDATION
NAME OF FUND:

AmeriCares Heroes’ Fund, Aid for Terrorist Attack Victims
TOTAL RAISED: $9,300,000
TOTAL SPENT: $9,158,000
PURPOSE:

Two fundsthe AmeriCares Heroes’ Fund, and Aid for Terrorist Attack Victimshave distributed $9,158,000 to support immediate family members of the New York firefighters, police officers, emergency-medical workers, and employees of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey who died in the attacks. The funds no longer accept contributions.

Terrorist Attack Relief Fund
TOTAL RAISED: $s31,000,000
TOTAL SPENT: $30,590,054
PURPOSE:

The Terrorist Attack Relief Fund has distributed all contributions to local Catholic Charities affiliates providing immediate and long-term assistance to families affected by the attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center. The fund no longer accepts contributions.

National Disaster Fund, Operation Noble Eagle, Operation Compassion Under Fire
TOTAL RAISED: $90,000,000
TOTAL SPENT: $87,000,000
PURPOSE:

Three fundsthe National Disaster Fund, Operation Compassion Under Fire, and Operation Noble Eaglehave distributed $87-million to help victims and their families pay for housing, utilities, food, transportation, insurance, and other needs.The funds no longer solict donations.


WORLD VISION AND CONCERTS OF PRAYER OF GREATER NEW YORK
NAME OF FUND:

American Families Assistance Fund
TOTAL RAISED: $12,503,896
TOTAL SPENT: $12,392,039
PURPOSE:


ADVERTISEMENT

The American Families Assistance Fund is providing training for trauma counselors, grants for widows and orphans of firefighters and police officers who were killed as a result of the attacks, and assistance to people who lost family members in the events of September 11 or became unemployed. The fund continues to accept donations.
