  • Evelyn Petschek, commissioner of the Tax-Exempt and Government Entities Division of the IRS, is changing jobs. She will become chief of staff to Mark Everson, the IRS commissioner. A replacement for Ms. Petschek has not yet been named.
  • The IRS is seeking comment on its rule that requires donors who want to write off gifts to keep a receipt from the charity or some other record of their gifts. Comments, which must be received by May 18, should be sent to: Glenn Kirkland, Internal Revenue Service, Room 6411, 1111 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20224.
