NORTH KOREA AID

The United Nations World Food Program will stop providing food aid to North Korea after the organization failed to reach an agreement with the country, reports the Los Angeles Times. Government officials say that, after a good harvest, the country does not need the food. But others say the government is trying to rid the country of foreigners and stop U.N. monitoring aimed at ensuring the aid goes to the hungriest, rather than ending up in the hands of the military.
