All Kinds of Minds (Chapel Hill, N.C.): Appointed Mary-Dean Barringer, national director for the organization’s Schools Attuned Program, to be chief executive officer. She succeeds Mark Grayson, who will become president. This group offers programs for children who have academic difficulties.
American Humane Association (Denver): Appointed Allie Phillips, a senior lawyer at the National District Attorneys Association’s National Center for Prosecution of Child Abuse (Alexandria, Va.) and the National Child Protection Training Center (Winona, Minn.), to be director of government affairs, based in Washington.
Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation (Chicago): Appointed Daniel Summins, vice president of development and communications at Chicago Youth Centers, to be executive director.
Bryant U. (Smithfield, R.I.): Appointed James Damron, associate vice president for university advancement at Seton Hall U. (South Orange, N.J.), to be vice president for university advancement.
