Alzheimer’s Association, California Southland Chapter (Los Angeles): Appointed David Coscia, segment producer for the game show Hollywood Squares (Santa Monica, Calif.), to be director of special events; Barbara Goen, senior vice president at the Rogers Group (Los Angeles), to be vice president of communications and marketing; and Cheryl Bernstein Gurin, director of leadership giving, to be vice president of development.
American Civil Liberties Union of Washington (Seattle): Appointed Leah Lee, director of development at the Giddens School (Seattle), to be annual-fund director.
American Council on Education (Washington): Announced the resignation of David Ward, president, effective in February 2008.
Appleseed (Washington): Appointed Betsy Cavendish, interim president and former vice president and legal director at Naral Pro-Choice America (Washington), to be executive director. She succeeds Linda Singer, who has been appointed the attorney general of Washington, D.C. Appleseed provides opportunities for lawyers to do pro bono work.
Boca Raton Community Hospital Foundation (Fla.): Appointed Jan Savarick, senior director of development, to be senior vice president.
Boston Lyric Opera: Appointed Nina Gilbert, director of choral activities at Lafayette College (Easton, Pa.), to be manager of education and community programs.
