American Technion Society (New York): Appointed Sherryl Steinberg Gelbort, associate director of financial-resource development at the Palm Beach County Jewish Federation (Fla.), to be director of the West Central region, based in Chicago. This organization supports the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (Haifa, Israel).

Angelo State College (San Angelo, Tex.): Appointed Jason Penry, executive director of the Oklahoma State U. Posse, the fund-raising arm for university athletics, to be director of development.

Aspen Film (Colo.): Appointed Michael Devous, publicity director at the AFI Dallas International Film Festival, to be communications manager.

Baltimore Symphony Orchestra: Appointed Jeff Counts, vice president of artistic operations at the Utah Symphony/Utah Opera (Salt Lake City), to be vice president of artistic planning.

Greater Los Angeles Agency for Deafness: Announced the death of Marcella M. Meyer, co-founder and former chief executive officer, on May 26. She was 84.

Harrisburg Area Community College (Pa.): Appointed Maureen Hoepfer, associate director of alumni relations at Penn State College of Medicine (Hershey), to be director of alumni affairs, and Linda Whipple, director of communications and external relations at Harrisburg Academy (Pa.), to be director of corporate and foundation development for the HACC Foundation.

Intiman Theatre (Seattle): Appointed Kate Whoriskey, a theater director in New York, to be artistic director.

Johns Hopkins U. (Baltimore): Appointed Andrea Trisciuzzi, vice president for institutional advancement at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland (Baltimore), to be associate dean for development and alumni relations at the Peabody Institute.
