Jim Joseph Foundation
Barry Finestone will succeed executive director Chip Edelsberg as Jim Joseph Foundation’s first chief executive.
Mr. Finestone comes to the foundation from the Lisa and John Pritzker Family Fund, where he is executive director. He has worked with Jewish nonprofits for 25 years, holding leadership positions at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco and at the Isaac M. Wise Temple in Cincinnati.
The Jim Joseph Foundation supports Jewish education programs. Mr. Finestone will start at the foundation on January 1, 2017.
Coalition of Behavioral Health Agencies
Christy Parque, executive director of Homeless Services United, was appointed chief executive.
National Low Income Housing Coalition
Diane Yentel, vice president for public policy and government affairs at Enterprise Community Partners, was named chief executive.
Project Independence
Debra Marsteller, executive director, was promoted to chief executive.
Other notable changes:
Liz Feeley, director of development at Amherst Montessori School, will be director of philanthropy at the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts.
James Short, founding director of the Gottesman Center for Science Teaching and Learning at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, was appointed program director of teaching and human capital management at the Carnegie Corporation of New York.
Omari Taylor, director of communications and marketing manager at Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan, will be senior director of corporate development at the Neighborhood Service Organization.
Legacies:
Robin Chandler Duke, former trustee of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, died February 6. She was 92.
