Suzanne McCormick will become president of the U.S. arm of the group on July 31. Currently she is president and CEO of United Way Suncoast, in Tampa, Fla. She follows Mary Sellers, who is stepping down after two years in the role.

Meadows Foundation

Peter Miller, senior vice president of private wealth management at Robert W. Baird and the great-nephew of Algur and Virginia Meadows, will become president and CEO of the Meadows Foundation on January 1. He succeeds Linda Perryman Evans, who is retiring after 23 years leading the $732 million foundation.

The New 42nd Street

Russell Granet has been selected as the theater group’s next president and CEO. Before becoming acting president of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in 2018, he was executive vice president there for six years.

The New York Times

Sharon Pian Chan, vice president of innovation, product, and development at the Seattle Times, will now be vice president of philanthropy at the New York Times, working with charities, foundations, and other groups to foster independent journalism.

More New CEOs

Gabriela Alcalde, managing director for equity and health at Richmond Memorial Health Foundation, has been appointed executive director of the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation, effective August 1.

Priscilla Almodovar, a managing director at JPMorgan Chase who worked in commercial real estate and community development, has been named CEO of Enterprise Community Partners.

Trudy Hall, director of strategic initiatives at the Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, in Bellevue, Wash., will become head of school of the Abaarso School, based in Somaliland.

Deborah Marton, executive director of the New York Restoration Project, will become executive director of the Van Alen Institute in September.

Rabih Torbay, president and chief operating officer, has been promoted to president and chief executive officer at Project HOPE.

Kimberly Zimmer, chief marketing officer and senior vice president for global affairs at Goodwill Industries International, has been named president and CEO of Helen Keller Services. She succeeds Joseph Bruno, who has led the organization since 2016 and will continue on in a consulting role.

Bainum Family Foundation

The $569 million foundation has named two new directors.

Marica Cox Mitchell has joined as director of early learning. Previously she was deputy executive director of early-learning systems at the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Brenda Henry, chief operating officer for the Division of Child and Family Well-Being at the New York City Administration for Children’s Services, has been hired as senior director of programs.

John A. Hartford Foundation

The $587 million foundation announced two changes to its program staff.

Rani Snyder, program director, has been promoted to vice president for program. She will oversee the foundation’s grant making and program development.

Nancy Wexler has been hired as a program officer. Most recently she was director of innovation and collaborative care at Banner University Arizona Health Plans.

In addition, Kathleen Cornett, vice president of grants and programs at the Oregon Community Foundation for 30 years, and Megan Schumaker, senior program officer at the foundation since 1999, are both retiring this summer.

Other Notable Appointments

Jennifer Dale, a fundraising consultant in the Detroit area, has been named the chief development officer at the Center for Neurological Studies.

Matt Lentsch, executive director for organizational advancement at the Oaklawn Foundation, has been named vice president for institutional advancement at Bethel University.

Jeanine Reynolds will now serve as chief development officer at Mouse, which designs computer science and STEM curriculum on its online learning platform for teachers of kindergarten through 12th grade. Previously she was vice president for development, communications, and external affairs at the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation.

Diane Samuels, director of talent and human resources at the Ford Foundation, has been promoted to vice president for talent and human resources.
