Project Open Hand(San Francisco)
Description: A trompe l’oeil mural in the lobby of a charity that delivers hot meals to needy people can be seen from the street.
Purpose: To acknowledge donors who gave $1,000 or more to the charity’s $7.5-million capital campaign.
Number of donors included: Approximately 300
How donors are honored: Donors’ names are painted around the rims of giant dinner plates featured in the floor-to-ceiling mural.
Creative strategy: To illustrate the link between donors and the meals they help provide to the needy.
