‘Putting Our Colleagues in Harm’s Way’

To the Editor:

Naming and listing foundations that are the potential targets of the Trump administration is incredibly reckless in this political climate. There is a way to cover the political threats facing philanthropy without putting our colleagues in harm’s way.

Philanthropy is already retracting from equity and justice due to the fear created by this administration. This article only fans those flames. The sector must be brave and not comply in advance of these threats. In that regard, this piece landed as woefully unhelpful. At the very least, please remove the foundation list included in the story and perhaps take down the article altogether.
