$100-Million Gift From Dan Duncan

Dan Duncan, founder of Enterprise Partners, an energy company in Houston, will donate $100-million to the Baylor College of Medicine for cancer research, patient care, and the creation of an endowed chair, the Houston Chronicle reports. The college hopes the gift will help obtain a federal designation as a cancer center, which would help the institution win more research money. Mr. Duncan, a Baylor trustee, is a survivor of prostate cancer.
