Thirteen bidders filed paperwork with the Barack Obama Foundation to compete to host the Obama Presidential Library, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The foundation, which is supervising the selection, promised a “level and fair” review process. Submissions will help shape a library that reflects Obama’s priorities and values, the foundation said in a statement.
Among the bidders are at least five universities, according to the Tribune. They include the University of Chicago, Chicago State University, the University of Illinois at Chicago, Columbia University in New York, and the University of Hawaii.
