April 13, 2007

Eugene and Marilyn Glick, who founded an Indiana real-estate company, have donated $30-million to establish the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Eye Institute at the Indiana University School of Medicine, the institution announced today.

Two-thirds of the gift will support the construction of a new building, as well as education, eye care, and research at the institute. The remaining portion will create an endowment to support research in eye diseases.

The Glicks founded the Gene B. Glick Company, a real-estate development firm in Indianapolis, in 1947.
