$60-Million Gift to Calif. Children’s Hospital

The California businessman Ernest Rady has committed $60-million to the Children’s Hospital and Health Center, in Kearny Mesa, Calif., reports The San Diego Union-Tribune.
The donation from the 69-year-old Mr. Rady will enable the hospital to build a new pavilion. It is his second big gift in recent years; in 2004 he gave $30-million to the University of California at San Diego.
